Cannington Farm

Cannington Farm sits in the Lim Valley, surrounded by pasture, woodland, and the extraordinary Cannington Viaduct. Guests can come and meet our animals, or find out more about what we are doing for the local landscape and environment.

We have recently been awarded funding under the East Devon National Landscape's 'Farming in Protected Area's' Scheme, which has allowed us to start putting in place some of our biodiversity goals for this farm. We have made a great start so far, adding 'green hay' from a local meadow site to our upper field, which in time will help to provide a beautiful species rich meadow. This is great habitat for many things, but especially invertebrates such as butterflies. 

Next we will be planting a new hedgerow which will be designed to accommodate hazel dormouse and provide a wildlife corridor for other mammals. Find us on Instagram or Facebook to follow our progress!
